** Many ski areas will not report their "continuous vertical" statistic. This is the greatest amount of vertical
that can possibly be skied without being stopped by terrain features, a dead-end, out-of-area, or otherwise
unskiable terrain requiring a hike or another lift to continue to the lowest lift-served point of the resort.
For example, Deer Valley, Utah, reports a vertical drop of 3,000 feet (on par with Park City or Telluride),
however, the longest single run at the resort is barely 2,000 vertical feet, or about the same vertical drop
as Waterville Valley in New Hampshire.
